Tamborine Mountain Vet - Dr Andrew Paxton-Hall

Dr Andrew Paxton-Hall

Lead Veterinarian BVSc

Andrew moved to Tamborine Mountain in 1992 with his young family after having worked in a range of practices across Queensland and the UK. He has been leading the team at our Tamborine Mountain clinic ever since. Andrew enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice and has enjoyed building long term relationships with many clients, he also performs the majority of our orthopaedic procedures within our 4 clinics.

Outside of running the practice Andrew & his wife, Sherri, enjoy spending time with their now grown-up family, hiking and exercising their boisterous black Labradors, Vivian & Florence.

Tamborine Mountain Vet - Dr Colleen Buckley

Dr Colleen Buckley

Veterinarian BVSc

Colleen graduated from the University of Queensland in 1990. She is an experienced vet who has worked in both small animal practice as well as mixed practice in Australia & the UK. Colleen enjoys the variety of work that being a veterinarian presents. She has previous experience with the pig industry and still maintains her connection to this with a role on the Pig Animal Ethics Committee.

Colleen was born and educated in the Scenic Rim and after many years away she returned here to live. In her spare time Colleen is kept busy with her family and running a farm.

Dr Kate Stanley

Veterinarian BVSc

Kate Graduated from the University of Queensland in 2000 and moved to Charleville with her husband Sam who is also a vet, where she worked in mixed practice for 8 years. During that time Kate had 3 children and also went on a year long working holiday in the UK. She moved to Beaudesert in 2009 and started work at our Tamborine Mountain clinic soon after.

Kate has a special interest in small animal endocrinology and orthopaedic surgery. She now lives on 50 acres outside Beaudesert with Sam and their 3 children, as well as rescue cat Nemo and dachshund puppy Larry. In her spare time Kate enjoys running, playing piano and guitar, and reading.

Tamborine Mountain Vet - Amber Wilson

Amber Wilson

Head Veterinary Nurse

Amber joined the Tamborine Mountain team as a student and studied for her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing through TAFE. She obtained her qualification in 2019 and has become an integral part of the team. Amber enjoys all aspects of nursing including caring for inpatients, and assisting the veterinarians in the surgical theatre. She is also responsible for inventory control and ensuring that the clinic is fully stocked with everything needed to care for your pets. Amber now has the role of Head Nurse.When she is not at work Amber enjoys spending time with friends and family and exercising her young Kelpie, Alby.

Tamborine Mountain Vet - Jenny Randall

Jenny Randall

Veterinary Nurse

Jenny has been working at our Tamborine Mountain clinic since 2014 and completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2020. Prior to working in the veterinary profession Jenny was a dressage coach and still enjoys spending time with her four horses. Surgical nursing and inpatient care are areas of particular interest in her nursing role but Jenny enjoys all aspects of being a nurse. When she is not working Jenny spends time with her young family, enjoys hiking and is currently training to run a half marathon.

Deanne Szentpetery

Veterinary Nurse

Dee initially attended our Pimpama City clinic as a TAFE student to complete her placement hours while studying her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing. When she graduated in 2021 she was employed in a casual capacity helping with holiday cover at all 4 of our clinics and has now become a permanent team member at the Tamborine Mountain clinic. Dee enjoys all aspects of her career but particularly loves nursing our hospitalised patients and ensuring they receive a high level of care during their stay with us.  When she isn’t caring for animals, Dee is either building and restoring furniture or painting up a storm with her crafty skills. 

Carmen

Veterinary Nurse

Carmen completed her cert 4 in veterinary nursing in 2004 while working at Manly Road Veterinary Clinic and Daisy Hill. Carmen is also a registered wildlife carer and spent her youth hand rearing wildlife and rehabilitating everything from pelicans to bats.

After  moving north Bundaberg and then re locating to the coast, she started with our group at the Yarrabilba Hospital and now primarily works at the Tamborine Mountain Vet Clinic.

When Carmen’s not working she loves to umpire netball at state level, runs boot camp classes and competes in powerlifting competitions.

Tamborine Mountain Vet - Isabel Lewis

Isabel Lewis

Receptionist

Izzy started with the team at Tamborine Mountain in 2022, after leaving a long career in hospitality management to pursue a new career in vet nursing and animal care. She works on the front desk at Canungra a couple of days a week beside Julia, and is passionate about delivering high quality service to both clients and their fur babies! She is also passionate about animal rescue and wildlife, and spends her spare time with her two rescue dogs, working in her garden, or doing home renovations.

Jessica Newton

Receptionist

Jess joined our team in 2022 as our receptionist. She was working in real estate prior and decided she wanted something a bit more challenging. Jess loves greeting all the patients as they are walking in with a big cuddle and treats!! Jess and her young family have their own fur and feathered babies too, when Jess is not working you will find her cleaning her house or spending time with her toddler, while also enjoying camping and going on adventures.
